Thanks to Amy's recommendation of videojug.com, I found this amazing recipe for cream of broccoli soup! Here it is:

www.videojug.com/film/how-to-make-cream-of-broccoli-soup-2

Had a cookout with K & K today - well Kenny did most of the cooking, I just did the broccoli soup, and poor Kat did most of the dishwashing oops =X

It took 3 hours altogether preparing and cooking everything, but I must say the meal was fantastic! The steak was yummy and juicy, the pasta had enough wine in it to make it interesting ;), the chicken with the Hawaiian sauce Kenny got was delicious too (even though everyone said it was salty... to me it was salty but still tasty!). Oh and I loved the broccoli soup! Should have gone for seconds lol :P Videojug is a really superb website for recipes man. Only thing is that I think I added more than 1L of water, so had to simmer the soup longer to evaporate the extra water to make it less diluted.

Anyhow it was fun to be working in the kitchen again :D The last time I cooked in the kitchen was with Christian, and the food turned out pretty good too... Yay!

Most of the time I was intoxicated with the different aromas coming from each and every dish... it just made me happy breathing in all these heavenly fumes, which certainly whet my appetite! So I just couldn't understand it when Kenny/Kat said that they can't eat much after they cook/bake... I mean, most of the time I would even be too tempted during the process of cooking/baking and succumb to trying something here and there cuz I'd be so hungry! Ohh well. Different species I guess. =X

Hmm somehow halfway through the meal everyone else has stopped eating and started saying they were full, and I was rather surprised cuz I felt I could still go on for quite a while... but then they started talking about horror/gory films and I kinda lost my appetite after that. Gross... don't get why people would want to pay money to scare themselves. I pay money for shows that make me feel good :)

I can still smell a heavenly mixture of food aromas in my hands, with a warm, homely, satisfying essence to them... something I don't usually get to smell because I eat outside food all the frigging time :( I feel like drinking a nice warm bowl of broccoli soup now!!! :P

So happy he's received my parcel today, and that everything is intact. :) So happy to see his face on Skype everytime, even though the video quality sometimes sucks and the screen just hangs. The words "I miss you" may sound overused over time, but I guess that is the quality of words. Words have the tendency to get cliched and hackneyed with repetition... But the one emotion is often there, and keeps coming back, and doesn't feel in the least bit tired of itself: I miss him.

Christmas was pretty awesome. RedDot on the eve and house party at Nick's on the day itself. Boxing day was at Wala's and then Cheryl's for mahjong. (:

christmas cheers )

So, the end of the year is coming. I don't usually make new year resolutions but I have decided to make some for the new year.

1. Work hard on every school assignment - effort must be made
2. be a better friend - call friends up occasionally to meet
3. eat healthy, drink more water, get more rest
4. party less
I would also like to pass my driving but right now, I think I am quite a reckless driver. Haha!

And Mio sucks like hell!

I was just looking around at other peopler on the crowded bus this afternoon while heading to town. You know how I hate my hair now, so I looked at the girl standing beside me. Her hair looks awesome and so was this other girl. Then it dawned on me that the grass is always greener on the other side. I then thought and suppose that it is best to be in content. It is really a blessing to be contented with what we have. (:

 Christmas at his place:

So pretty!!! I wish I were there with him now...

But Christmas this year is going to be a good one too. I'm happy that D is back, and I'm happy to be spending Christmas with friends... met up with my sisters, with my mom (things went pretty well thankfully)... what's more important than spending Christmas with friends and family? :)

If only he were around, too...

I'm truly thankful for many things this year :)

I am aching all over. Dammit. Some of us went down to RP yesterday for a friendly with RP and SMU. It has been so long since I had fun like that. I fell yesterday and now my knee aches every time I walk up and down the stairs. My ankle hurts as well. Someone buy me a new leg. Omg. I've got driving later. Super lazy please. Tsk. Totally in a I-just-want-to-slack-at-home mood. *yawns*
